Yifeng Zhu is Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the College of Engineering at the University of Maine. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Nebraska in 2002 and 2005 respectively. Before that, he received B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. His current research interests include computer architecture and systems, data storage systems, energy-efficient memory systems, parallel/distributed computing and wireless sensor networks. He is an editorial board member of the Journal Parallel and Distributed Computing and Networks. He has served as the program chair of NAS'10 and SNAPI'07, and he is in the organizing or technical committees of many international conferences, such as ISCA, ICDCS, and ICPP. He is associated with the High Performance Computing Lab (HPC). He is the director of the research lab Archsys: Computer Architecture and Systems Lab.
