libpfm4 PAPI
libpfm4 PAPI is now included in the standard PAPI CVS tree.
Check out the CVS as described at the bottom of
this page.
Configure with "./configure --with-libpfm4"
Then run PAPI as normal.
New Features Enabled
- Offcore Response on Nehalem/Westmere/SandyBridge (though not
quiet yet, the kernel developers have disabled this feature
for now).
- Use of the perf_event generalized events and software events.
- Access to CMASK and INVERT paramaters (not tested)
- Mixed kernel/user counts (not tested)
