How sad it is that umlaut does not contain an ü

There were rumors that the MEMSYS conference had some sort of award for gratuitous use of umlauts. Somehow this resulted. Insert inappropriate diaresis into your LaTeX document! It's just like being on a 1990s dial-up BBS!
