Fusion Group Machines
I am the primary sysadmin for the fusion group's machines, and I
used to help maintain the CSL servers. I also built and set up the
clusters listed below.
It shouldn't have come to this, but it became necessary to draw up some
terms and conditions for using Fusion Group machines. They are described
here.
Current Machines:
Total machines: 169
Total processor cores: 468
Total architectures: 10
Operating Systems: Linux (exceptions: one IRIX, three Solaris,
one TRU64)
Large Clusters:
- Cluizel Cluster: 40 machines, each with two Pentium 4 processors.
- Sampaka Cluster: 40 machines, each with two Pentium 4 processors.
- Ithaca Cluster: 16 machines, each with two Pentium 4 processors
- Domori Cluster: 46 machines, each with two dual-core 64-bit Pentium 4
processors.
Standalone machines:
- x86: 11 machines, 13 cores total
- alpha: 2 machines, 4 cores total
- arm: 1 machine, 1 core total
- avr32: 1 machine, 1 core total
- pa-risc: 1 machine, 1 core total
- PowerPC: 3 machines, 3 cores total
- itanium: 1 machine, 1 core total
- mips: 3 machines, 3 cores total
- sparc: 4 machines, 81 cores total (3 niagara machines, one 32-core,
two 24-core)
