• Constructed by Don Hummels, Launched October 2002.
• Based on the Redfish King design purchased from Redfish Kayaks. The original 17' 9" king was scaled (linearly) in length to give a 14'6" kayak. (Width and height were left unchanged)
• Final size: 14' 6", 33.5 lbs
• Epoxy System: Raka 127 Resin with 350 non-blushing hardener.
• Raka 5 oz woven fiberglass (mostly... some leftover 6 oz glass on the hull interior)
• Glass doubled on bottom, around coaming, on stems, aft of cockpit.
• strip-built bulkheads fore and aft of cockpit. Flush hatches.
• Western red cedar stips. Mahogany bow, stern, stems, toggles, coaming, and coaming rim. Mahogany and pine accent strips. Bird's eye maple veneer inlay.
• System 3 WR-LPU clear satin finish.
